You have received this email from your friend, Anna.

It’s John’s birthday next week. You haven’t forgotten, have you? I was wondering if you could help me organise a celebration for him. He’s pretty busy at the moment, so I was thinking of planning something simple. Originally I thought about a picnic, but it turns out it might rain this weekend. Do you have any ideas of activities we could do indoors? Also, ideally we wouldn’t have to spend a lot of money.

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

    It was so lovely to hear from you again. Sorry to be so slow getting back to you ,I´ve been busy hitting the books beacuse exams are around the corner.
    There´s no way me forgetting his birthday, he´s my bestfriend.
    In your letter you mentioned you thought about a picnic but owing to rain it is not likely to happen, it would´ve been an awesome idea. Well, i know him perfectly and he always tells me he want to watch Avengers: Endagame at home, which i can buy as a gift, with his relatives and friends so i think i would be a great idea to it for his birthday, you already know how much he loves to make us part of his family, don´t you? Besides, why don´t we make a chocolate cake? I´ve got all the required ingredients and we won´t have to spend any money.
    By the way, you´re also worried about spending much money and i have another solution which is playing his favourite video game called “Kahoot” after the film, if there´s something he loves more than watching films having his time of his life by playing video games with his loved ones, i assure you he will love it.
    I´m really looking forward to celebrating his birthday. Seeing him happy is all i need to stop myself from feeling anxious about the future exams.

      I have been thinking about the John’s birthday and I believe that we could go to the Beach!

    How are you? I hope you’re very well. Never have I forgotten Jon’s birthday, The elder he is the more fantastic party we organize, Do you remember the last year when we were in the attraction park?

    Absolutely, I agreed with you about organizing something indoors. I have been thinking these days and I would like to propose you that taking of advantage of my parents are going to be out this weekends, we can prepare a party in my house, As you know we have a huge garage and it would be a marvelous and appropriated place, as well as we don’t have neighbors near and if we make noise we won’t bother anybody. What more? It would be a fantastic idea to establish a topic for the party and to arrange different activities around it. A possible topic would be Rock and roll due to the fact Johns is a fanatic of it, What do you think about it? We can dress over that topic. Moreover, Pablo can take his karaoke, with rock and roll music,

    Another interesting idea would be the food and drink were typically food about rock and roll.

    Well, I hope you like my proposal, If you have other ideas you will transmit them to me and the rest of the group

      Study some more informal language (I will try and prepare something for you).

      I would love to help organize John’s party. I actually forgot but you REMINDED me. I can offer my home for the party. We can invite a few friends and We ask ORDER/GET pizza and beers.

    How’s everything going? It’s been a long time since I heard from you. It was very nice to read that you’re planning to organise a party for John’s birthday.
    If you wanted organise something indoors, you would need some music to play, especially those which Jonh enjoys. I could bring a radio if you like. Another things we should need might be some board games such as Chess, Monopoly or Jenga. Maybe we can borrow them from Richard. He’ll be glad to help us as well.
    You asked me about not spending a lot of money. If I were in your shoes, I would make a birthday cake with some ingredients I have in my house, for instance a flour, some biscuits and a bottle of milk, isn’t it an incredible idea?
    One more thing, don’t forget to bring the cake on time and buying some candles for John’s Birthday.
    I hope that everthing will be right and if you need anything else, just drop me a line.
